What Odds Kate Gives Birth Today?
The new royal baby will be given the title His Highness Prince (insert name) of Cambridge or Her Royal Highness Princess (name) of Cambridge, but everything else is unknown.
State of Play
William and Kate’s first child has been the subject of speculation, on a level not seen since Will himself was born to Charles and Diana on June 21, 1982. Despite rumors flying around that the baby is a girl, the truth is that we are none the wiser even as Kate is about to give birth.
The baby will be born at St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, London, where William was born. It is believed that the royal baby is due to be born on Saturday, July 13, but it is impossible to predict these things accurately.
William Hill Betting
William Hill’s birthdate special currently lists today (July 9) and tomorrow (July 10) as 8/1 favorites, with the odds becoming longer and longer with every subsequent day. Despite the lack of confirmation, the baby is still 4/7 to be a girl and 5/4 to be a boy. Consequently, the most likely names are female names such as Alexandra, 7/4 (but Hill is taking bets on hundreds of names plus others on request).
Customers of the online bookmaker can also place bets on the following: hair color, time of baby arrival, day of week baby is born, weight, who will hold the baby when it leaves the hospital, and which mag will get exclusive first picture rights.
